Readsboro and Halifax now one school district
DEERFIELD VALLEY - As of Sunday, Halifax and Readsboro no longer operate their own separate school districts. The towns now comprise the Southern Valleys Unified Union School District, which became effective July 1. The new district was created in compliance with Act 46, which required towns to merge school governance structures (school boards).
