Ducks thank community

To the Editor,
With the help of many contributing community members we were able to hold our 31st annual duck race to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation.  All of our efforts go to help support children with life-threatening illnesses  experience a wish that is unique to them.
Thanks to the Crafts Inn, the chamber of commerce, the prize contributors, the volunteers who run a great bake sale.  To our Duck Squad who man the ticket sales, kids games, announcing, quacking contest, music playing, and coordinating this great event, it could not be done without you all. We also extend a big heartfelt thanks to you, the ticket buyers, for joining us, supporting this fundraiser, and for being there despite the weather! 
 Each year we hope will be our last but as long as there are children needing wishes we will do our part in helping raise funds for this wonderful charity. Volunteers of all ages are needed to keep this annual event going.  Please do not hesitate to call me at (802) 464-5618 to sign up.
We will hope for warmer weather for next year for our 32nd race, and we hope you will join us!
