A dog day in summer
DOVER- Summer has finally arrived to southern Vermont. As fleeting as it can sometimes feel, many cherish each and every summer day by celebrating its warmth, a late-setting sun, and various activities that colder seasons are reluctant to offer. With this in mind, a special event is planned for Saturday, July 14, at 11am on the lawn of West Dover Congregational Church on Route 100.
A dog day in summer is a fun activity for dogs and their owners. Beginning at 11 am, pets and owners will gather for doggie treats, a raffle, a leashed dog walk on the Valley Trail, and snacks and drinks for owners provided by Sticky Fingers and church members. Following the group walk, Pastor Jeremy Kirk will be available for a “Blessing of the Dogs” at noon. Water bowls will be provided. All dogs must be leashed.
