WILMINGTON - Wilmington Works, with support from the town of Wilmington, downtown merchants, and local artist Skip Morrow, invite all to come to downtown Wilmington for “Après Ski Starts at Three” every Saturday in February, starting at 3 pm.

This event is a townwide potpourri, with shops providing snacks, extra discounts, tastings, demonstrations, and special events on Saturday afternoons from 3 until close.

Throughout the month, people can also play Spot the (Après) Skier.

Look for a Skip Morrow original cartoon, hidden in participating locations downtown. When spotted, ask for a punch on the Après Ski Pass, available from any participating location. When a participant gets 10 punches, they can enter to win a raffle of local items, gift cards, and special discounts. While hunting, take advantage of tastings, specials, and pop-up discounts throughout town.

Special events include author Bill Mares appearing at Bartleby’s Books at 4 pm on February 3 to talk about his humorous book “The Full Vermonty, Vermont in the Age of Trump.” Local photographer Nicki Steel appears at Bartleby’s Books the following week, presenting her work starting at 4 pm on February 10.

You’ll also find outdoor activities with snowshoe walks leaving from Zoar Outdoor at 3 pm on February 3 and 10. Zoar is offering a special $15 price for rentals if needed. Call them at (800) 532-7483 to reserve.

A sampling of other Saturday events: Join Pam Dudley at Rock River Restoration for a demonstration of her techniques for faux-painting on reclaimed slate and wood, from 3 to 5 pm; Scalia’s Pizzeria will offer a free cheese pizza with any pizza ordered from 3 to 6 pm on February 3 and 10; Ratu’s Market will have tastings from 3 to 6 pm every Saturday; Red Fox Shop will have a wine tasting from 2 to 5 pm on February 10; and Andrea Berg and the staff at Pickwell’s will have special drawings and fun each week.

A weekly listing of events and specials is or just come downtown and join in the fun. For more information email or call (802) 234-1433.
