Petitions due soon for Town Meeting

DOVER- Dover Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 6. Petitions for articles to be voted at Town Meeting are due to the town clerk by January 18, and must be signed by 5% (65) of Dover’s voters.

Petition forms for local offices to be voted at Town Meeting are now available at the Dover Town Clerk’s office. Petitions for offices are due back to the town clerk by January 29, at 5 pm, and must be signed by 1% (13) of Dover’s voters.

Offices up for election this year are: auditor, three years; first constable, one year; grand juror, one year; library trustee, five years; library trustee ,five years (four years remaining); moderator, town, one year; moderator, school, one year; school director, three years; school director, two years; selectboard, three years; selectboard, two years; town agent, one year; trustee of public funds, one year.
