’Tis the season to seek out some face time with Santa, so you can share your Christmas wishes, snap a photo, and collect holiday memories. Though Santa has a busy few weeks head of him in preparation for Christmas, his elves have assured him they’ll assist at his North Pole workshop so he can carve out plenty of time to meet with children in the Deerfield Valley. Below are Santa’s current plans in the area over the next few weeks. Be sure to check back each week — if Santa adds more cheer to his schedule, we’ll update this list.

Saturday, November 25

Honora Winery: 12 - 5 pm, 1778 Collins Road, Halifax- Santa will be at Honora Winery’s Winter Wonderland event on Saturday, where parents can enjoy some holiday cheer while the kids decorate cookies and enjoy a book nook.

Mount Snow: 5:45 pm, West Dover - Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available at the base lodge to take pictures immediately following Saturday night’s torchlight parade and fireworks.

Saturday, December 2

Dover Free Library, 3 - 5 pm, 22 Holland Road, Dover -

Santa will take pictures and give out gifts while the Dover Elementary School children’s choir sings traditional holiday songs. Holiday refreshments will be available as well.

Sunday, December 3

Wardsboro Town Hall, 11 am - 2 pm, 71 Main Street, Wardsboro - Santa will arrive by firetruck at noon and will take pictures while families choose their Christmas cookies. The line for cookies starts at 11am, so don’t be late! If any families would like to donate cookies, donations will be happily accepted if they’re dropped off at the town hall by 10 am the day of the event.

Saturday, December 16

St. Mary’s in the Mountains, 3:30 pm, 13 E. Main Street, Wilmington - St. Mary’s in the Mountains will present its second annual Red Door Community Carol Sing at 3:30 pm. Beginning at 4 pm, the audience will be invited to join in with the singing, and Santa may just make an appearance.
