To the Editor

Mr. Roger Goodell, National Football League, New York, NY: Commissioner, I hope you live long and suffer each moment. Fie on you and anyone disrespecting the flag, anthem, and president of the USA.

I will boycott every NFL commodity and sponsor.

Mr. Lout,

I don't normally reply to letters to the editor, but I'll make an exception in this case. I personally think football is a barbaric sport. The NFL as a business has proven it cares more about money over the health and wellness of their own players and fans.

That said, if you truly understood what the flag and anthem stood for, what they represent, you wouldn't be so angry at the NFL. Never, before we had someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, has the flag represented the president, and it DEFINITELY does not do so now, as much as he and his minions would like it to.

But most important, the flag and anthem DO represent the fact that way too many men and women have fought and died for the right of every American, regardless of race, age, religion, sexual orientation, etc, to protest. The football players who have chosen to use their platform, since they are lucky enough to have it, to protest the racism in this country and the violence perpetrated on minorities by police and now the president and AG.

You have fallen for the trap this president set for you. This man has a history of using the flag to divide people. And he knows these protests are NOT about the flag or the anthem or our military or our country. But he has caught you and many others in his web.

You should be proud that we all have the rights we have... instead of being angry at the NFL for sticking the the very principles that used to make America great, be angry at the NFL for failing to take this stance for the past 20 years as they have contributed to making the problem worse, rather than fixing it.

Get off your high horse... the flag is a piece of cloth and the anthem is just a song. Care about what they represent and not the things themselves.
