WILMINGTON- The Aging in Place Initiative has been hosting an on-going summer program of Thursday afternoon lectures/roundtable discussions on subject matter of interest to elders as well as just about anyone else. They occur at 3 pm in the basement Community Room of the Episcopal Church, St. Mary’s in the Mountains on Route 9 East, and will run through the month of September.

On September 21, Edie Mas and Rhondi Gleason will help seniors think about how to prioritize life as they age, experience medical challenges, and eventually face their own mortality via a card game called “Go Wish.”

On September 28, attorney Joe Cook will give a brief overview of estate planning and answer questions about wills, trusts, probate, power of attorney, and medical proxy decision-making. He will provide an estate planning questionnaire to help with the legal maze of advanced care planning.
