WARDSBORO- Alison Williams is the September artist of the month at the Wardsboro Public Library.

Born in England, Williams has spent most of her life in the United States after receiving many of her creative tools from her mother such as knitting, needlepoint, and quilting. She lives in Wardsboro with her husband, a retired US Marine. Her passion now is scrapbooking and card-making, which includes wedding-related items such as invitations.

Paper dolls, while not a new pastime, have now come back into vogue and Williams has included them in her collection of projects. These dolls, along with coordinated clothing, appear in scenes that she has designed. She uses the Cricut and Bigshot die cutting machines in these projects as they add texture and interest to the work.

Stop in and see all of Williams’ work, including her landscape wall hangings, this month during library hours: Monday and Thursday from 10 am to 1 pm; Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to7 pm; and Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm. For more information visit or call (802) 896-6988.
