GRAFTON- Southern Vermont Lyric Theatre is proud to present Puccini’s “La Bohème” at the Grafton Church on Friday, August 25, and Sunday, August 27. A reduced orchestration by Bryan Higgins will be conducted by Ken Olsson. “La Bohème” is an opera based on “Scènes de la vie de bohème” by Henri Murger. It is one of the most frequently performed operas in the world and has been a standard in the operatic repertoire since its premiere in 1896. The performances will be sung in Italian with English translations projected above the singers.

Tenor Joshua Collier will sing the role of the poet Rodolfo. Soprano Michelle DeCoste sings the role of Mimì. Amy Suznovich will sing the feisty Musetta. Baritone Cailin Marcel-Manson will perform the role of the painter Marcello.

The performances are on Friday, August 25, at 8 pm, and Sunday, August 27, at 3 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students. Reservations and more information can be obtained by calling (802) 874-4220 or by emailing southernvermontlyrictheatre@gmail.com.
