READSBORO- Readsboro Arts summer concerts welcomes The Sweetback Sisters on Friday, August 25, at 8 pm. The Sweetback Sisters, Emily Miller and Zara Bode, have garnered a strong following in Vermont, across the country, and abroad. They will be coming to the EJ Bullock Building, 7012 Main Street, in a fundraiser for Readsboro Arts.

The Sweetback Sisters have performed everywhere from “A Prairie Home Companion” to Mountain Stage and graced festivals from coast to coast in addition to selling out theaters with their annual “Country Christmas Singalong Spectacular.”

The EJ Bullock Building promises to be the perfect venue for the Sweetback Sisters, whose shows have a downhome feel.

The Readsboro date is also the release date of the Sweetback Sisters’ newest album, “King of Killing Time.” The CD will be available for purchase and will be sung at the show.

Tickets are $15 at the door or $12 in advance by calling (802) 423-5600 or emailing concerts@readsboroarts.org.
