Non-payment is critical

To the Editor,

I read the article about the Hermitage Club’s failure to pay the taxes they owe Wilmington and Dover and frankly I’m outraged! If that was me I think my house would be gone. These folks shouldn’t be allowed to keep all of their properties if they’ve owed so much for so long. And if by their failure to pay causes the people of Wilmington’s property taxes to go up or the town having to cut expenses that’s criminal! I commend The Deerfield Valley News for their editorial about this situation. If the Hermitage Club can’t pay their bills they shouldn’t be treated any differently than any ordinary citizen of this town. Pay up or face the music!
