To the Editor,

Donald and I would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the firemen of West Dover, East Dover, Wilmington, and Wardsboro who responded to the fire at our home. My dad was a volunteer fireman for over 50 years and I know personally what dedication, selflessness, and commitment truly mean. In addition, we want to express our gratitude and thanks to the police, EMTs, utility personnel, and volunteers who also responded.

During this crisis, it was so impressive how all the pieces came together. All the offers of finding shelter, providing food, clothing, and help were overwhelming and genuinely appreciated. The kind words of support, caring, and most of all, the hugs, from everyone have been and continue to be heartwarming.

It is truly a blessing to be living here where people of the valley rally around one another during their time of need. Our home is in the process of being re-built and we are looking forward to sharing it with our friends.

Again, Donald and I are sincerely grateful.

Sandy Lazeski
