BENNINGTON- Oldcastle Theater is offering the first ever improv class starting in July. This three-hour class will meet on Monday nights from 7 to 10 for four weeks, at a one-time-only introductory price of $120. The improv group would perform 45-minute shows after the scheduled plays during the summer season.

Instructor Christine Decker has an extensive background in performing and teaching improvisation. She was a member of the Brave New Workshop in Minneapolis, before performing at the Comedy Workshop of Walt Disney World’s Pleasure Island for 19 years.

Students will learn the principles of improvisation such as: Say “ Yes and”; be in the moment; who, what, and where; and work as a team. Classes will involve game-playing, storytelling, and physical interaction.

Classes begin on July 10 with the final class on July 31. Call (802) 447-0564 to sign up.
