To the Editor,

The Wardsboro History Group Photo Committee would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank The Windham Foundation of Grafton, for the gift of a grant recently received.

We are all very thankful that The Windham Foundation believes in and supports our project of developing old glassplate photos. We meet once a week to develop, identify and discuss the old photos.

This has been an ongoing project of local historians interested in preserving old photos for over 30 years. To date many photo collections have been finished or a partial collection has been finished, including Vaile of Londonderry, Chapman of Windham, Thayer of South Newfane, and many smaller collections.

We also present slide shows of many of the photographs to interested groups. And viewers have helped identify places and people that our group could not.

We can be reached at PO Box 33, Wardsboro, VT 05355, if anyone has old glassplates to be developed or has an interest in our project.
