Time to connect the dots

To the Editor,

I suggest connecting the dots between the two articles on the front page of the latest issue of this newspaper.

One discusses heartaches and headaches, as well as financial aches inflicted on our valley by Act 46, which takes away our taxes and our control of our own schools. The other article calls for the Democratic party to rise against our president.

Democrats are the party of Big Government. They inflicted on us Act 46 and a great deal more. They may have been the party of the working people in the past, but long ago have degenerated into the party of bi-coastal elites. And now we have a man who shares his name with a Saudi king coming to Wilmington, bedecked in a suit and tie, to tell us how to organize to get his badly beaten Democrats back in control again.

If you have the energy for politics, better invest it in giving our valley and other Vermont communities control over our own schools.
