Cellist Cohen has performed with ensembles such as Camerata Pacifica, Pacific Serenades, and the Apple Hill Chamber Players, and became a founding member of the New Hollywood String Quartet.
British pianist Burns has performed in the United States, Canada, Spain, Germany and all around the UK. His performances have been broadcast by BBC Radio and Radio Maribou, and he has recorded three critically acclaimed albums for Nimbus. He is most often heard alongside violinist Louisa Stonehill as part of the Steinberg Duo. This season marks his first appearances in New England.
Together, for this Music for a Sunday Afternoon performance, Burns and Cohen will play a program of music by Beethoven, Brahms, and Thuile.
