An eye-opening experience

To the Editor,

I would like to thank the Rotary Club for giving me the opportunity to hear the community’s concerns and to meet some of you for the first time. It was an eye opening experience for sure, but all in a good way. There is a lot more to be done than obviously one meeting every two weeks; I am fully aware of this.

When asked if I have the time, my reply was yes! I look forward to it, and by that I mean I fully understand our plight daily and the need for a squeaky wheel so to say. “Persistence wins” was and is my credence.  I would not have entered the ring, so to say, if I did not expect to have to work. I feel as a builder of custom homes, restaurants, bars, and environmental and state projects I can lend a hand in many ways to our ever-growing town. We do have a couple of issues to deal with, but in the big picture we are just starting to crawl as one; imagine what walking will feel like. It took me a while but I fully understand quality over quantity.

Thank you all for listening to my answers, and I hope you like what you heard. Once again thank you to the Rotary Club and Sarah Shippee. I look forward to being a part of our growth, and our future.

Sandy Macdougall
