Library reopens

JACKSONVILLE- The Whitingham Free Public Library will hold its grand reopening on Saturday, April 26, from 9 am to 2 pm. Join in to celebrate the completed renovation project and enjoy the new library with fresh paint, refinished woodwork, and new carpeting and furniture.

On Thursday, May 1, at 7 pm, the Whitingham Free Public Library will be showing a 1948 film based on the play by John Van Druten, “Remember Mama,” which was based on Kathryn Forbes’ fictionalized memoir “Mama’s Bank Account.” This classic movie, starring Irene Dunn, focuses on the Hansons, a loving family of Norwegian immigrants. Free popcorn, treats, and beverages will be served.
