BELLOWS FALLS- Community radio station WOOL announced its fourth on-air singing competition. Radioke, WOOL’s signature name for live-to-air karaoke, gives area singers an opportunity to make their talents public in an open competition that is broadcast live on 100.1FM and webcast globally on www.wool.fm.

Prizes for first, second, and third place are offered to winners who compete over a three-show series with contests on February 23, March 9, and finals on March 23. The competition is co-presented by Popolo, Bellows Falls’ own community restaurant that hosts the event in the adjacent Windham Ballroom. The event is emceed by the talented John-Michael Maciejewski, chef at Popolo, who chimes in with singing to invigorate the audience. Proceeds from the event will be donated to WOOL, a non-profit, member-owned, and volunteer-run organization.

Admission is $5 and tickets are available at www.popolomeanspeople.com and at the restaurant at 36 The Square in Bellows Falls. Competition is limited and contestants can only enter in person on February 23 and March 9. There’s a cash bar.
