Mr. Dix was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and snowmobile and was the happiest when he was at his camp in Freezin Hole. He liked it so much that he lived in there for many years.
He leaves his daughters, Candace Dix and fiancé Bruce Fuller, Lorraine Saunders and husband Douglas, all of Wilmington; son, Charles “Skip” Dix and wife Terry, of Jacksonville; sister, Eleanor Day, of Rutland; granddaughter, Sarah Sprague; former wife Laura Dix, of Wilmington; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Randall Dixon, and brother, Richard Dix.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Saturday, November 17, at 11 am at the family lot in Riverview Cemetery.
