WINDHAM COUNTY - The Vermont Department of Health announces that with the recent snow jump-starting March winter activities, Windham County residents have a new opportunity to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

Six libraries throughout Windham County have partnered with the Vermont Department of Health’s Brattleboro office to promote physical activity by making snowshoes available for children and adults to borrow and enjoy. Residents can stop in at their public library in Brattleboro, Dover, Guilford, Jamaica, Townshend, Westminster West, and Whitingham to check out the snowshoes. The program is funded by the health department to encourage community members to be active outside during the winter months. For more information about this progam call (802) 863-7281.
