WHITINGHAM- The first bass tournament, sponsored by the Deerfield Valley Sportsmen’s Club, is in the books. The tournament was held Saturday, June 24, at Harriman Reservoir. The team of Jim Sweeney and Brian Reynolds took the prize for lunker (biggest fish) and also for largest bag (the most weight for a five-fish catch). They came away with $550. The Dupuis boys took the rest of the prize money with second and third place by weight.

All are looking forward to the next tournament in September. Randy Pike’s gun shop sponsored the $300 prize for the lunker.
