WHITINGHAM- The Twin Valley high school snowboarding team finished their season on

March 3, and did so with honors, according to their coaches, Scott Salway and Brennan Cofiell.

“We wrapped up the season at the state championships at Okemo,” said Cofiell. “We competed as a Team in GS (racing) and individually in slopestyle.” Cofiell said that while nobody from the Twin Valley team placed in slopestyle, in GS racing, Logan Boyd placed second in the state, and Boyd, Allen Cole, Sam Fleischer, and Noah Crawford placed second as a team out of 10 schools.

“It was a great season that definitely was a learning experience for our riders and coaches,” said Salway. “We ended up having a bunch of fun, stayed competitive, and grew as a team. We are pumped for the future with these guys.” Cofiell agreed. “Three of the four riders are freshmen, and we look forward to expanding the roster and doing well at states again,” he said.
