To the Editor,

An old twist to local politics, “grass roots.”

There is a new face in the race for the House of Representatives from our area: Philip Gilpin Jr. from Dover.

He has lots of energy and fresh ideas on how to help the southern end of the state, which is quite often forgotten. He will present a strong and energetic voice for us in Montpelier. He is holding small informal meeting in each of the towns he would represent, not fund raisers. He is out to meet the people to explain his ideas and hear their thoughts.

When he is in your town, please take some time to meet him.

Kathy Martin
