To the Editor,

Wings Community Programs would like to recognize the outstanding contributions in creating three wonderful performances this past weekend of Scooby & the Curse of the Spider Woman, written by Wilmington’s Shelley Park.

Wag the Dog Productions, a group of dedicated and skilled teachers and staff within the WSSU, provided the vision and instruction of the performing arts in our surrounding schools beginning in January and during the two-week camp preceding the shows. It is always a pleasure to work with Maria Stewart, Jobi Dan’Sy, Cyndal Ellis, Shelley Park, Molly Melloan, Renee Galle, and Stephanie Powers.

Christine Colella, Jessica Gibbs-Buursma, Lisa Sullivan, Jessica DeFrancesco, Greg Edwards, Conall Sullivan, Christine Kennedy, Jody Boos, Sandy Crowningshield, Ashley Brigham, Rose Watson, Brian Sullivan, Robbie Purzzi, Rebecca Longe, and Bob Edwards gave us enormous support. A special shout out to Christine Reilly for make up assistance. We would not have had such a success without the help of so many other great volunteers.

Chrissy and Caitlyn Reilly have our appreciation for their leadership throughout our adventure. Every cast member always knew they were a valuable part of a special community.

With a collection of talented local musicians, Wings was able to provide these youth, their families and our communities a wonderful experience. Thanks also to the town of Wilmington and the Memorial Hall board.

Of course, we would not have stood a chance without the love and special talents of Katie and Peter Boyd. Thank you both.

Andy Hauty

Director, Wings Community Programs
