Afraid I’ve fallen behind on my Deerfield Valley News.

I read about the work done by the committee that looks after the garden in the town park. It certainly looks beautiful, thanks to their effort.

What pleased me especially was the clean-up of the Charles Trebble Memorial which is located near the tennis courts. It was neglected for years and certainly was disgraced when it was surrounded by the dumpster containers. “Chaz” Trebble was one of the first general managers of Wilmington. He was a retired Lt. Colonel. He did what he could for Wilmington at that time. He was a personal friend and most likeable and hard working. Don’t think there are many who remember him but he was unforgettable.

Thanks again to those who are taking care to beautify our town.
