A plea from a Gram’s heart. On Tuesday night July 23 my world unraveled.
Please boys and girls don’t tear your life apart. Sex and alcohol do not mix. Today we are subjected to unhealthy distorted sexual behavior from so many sources: television, computers, any kind of phones and the like, along with magazines that will lead you into a life of hell. For you males, a female can tell you she is 18 and destroy your name, peoples respect and trust in you when she really is 14 and goes home and yells rape.
If she is under 16 she is jail bait. Even if she is willing, she by law does not have that right. She is jail bait. When a young man gets caught up in this trap it hurts him and all whom love him. It is a chain reaction of pain. As a gram that sees her grandson going through this I have cried a river of tears and they just keep coming. In my family there is my daughter, my grandson’s mother, his sister, three aunts and three uncles, ll cousins, and grandpa, great aunts and great uncles along with all our friends. That is just on our side of the family.
Wake up before it is too late! Even if she is willing she’s still jail bait. I have shed so many tears, there seems to be no end. A grandson that has helped so many didn’t seem to be able to help himself. I pray he is strong enough to overcome what he has brought on himself, from the lies of one under age teen.
As I drove up my drive way this afternoon I remembered all the little foot prints of my grandson walking up that drive. Emotions filled with love for my grandson, the tears just keep coming. I believe there are “foot prints in the sand” as my Lord carries me. Please boys and girls, respect and protect one another, don’t destroy what you can become. The wrong choice “once” can bring a life time of consequences. I pray you will learn from what has happened to your fiiends. I pray these young people’s choices will keep you from doing this painfull thing to your loved ones and yourself.
I have sat on this letter for some time now and feel it is time to let some people know there are two sides to this mess. I pray now we can all get on with our lives and mend and become stronger and better people. The sad part of this, there is only one side printed as she is a minor and the law protects her because of her age. One does not see the whole picture, if some of the pieces are missing. I don’t know who the underage girl is but I do hope and pray she is getting some “very good help” to turn her life around and be a good adult some day.
A plea from a Gram who loves her grandson.
