“Our snowmakers have been out on the mountain around the clock since Monday afternoon,” said Dave Moulton, Mount Snow’s Director of Mountain Operations. “I really can’t say enough about the work they’ve done to get us in the position we are right now.” Mount Snow has the largest arsenal of high output snowmaking fan guns in North America.
Mount Snow plans to open with seven trails from the summit with skiing and riding for intermediate to advanced ability levels only. Beginner terrain will be available at the resort’s learning area, Launch Pad. Four lifts will serve the open terrain from 9 am to 3:30 pm on Friday and 8 am to 3:30 pm Saturday and Sunday. Carinthia will have The Gulch open from top to bottom with a number of full-size features.
Operations will be closed Monday through Thursday of next week (November 18 to 21) with an anticipated re-opening date of Friday, November 22, weather permitting, for the remainder of the season. Lift ticket rates will be $55 for adults, $45 youth and senior, $5 for kids 5 and under, and a lower mountain ticket for Launch Pad/Discovery Shuttle lift will be $30. There will be no multiday or afternoon lift tickets and no snow guarantees will be provided.
