BENNINGTON– Michelle Dorrance, award-winning and electrifying tap dancer, teacher, and choreographer, will perform with members of her troupe and teach a Tap Master class at Southern Vermont College on Thursday, November 21. Both the class and the program are free and open to the public. Please note that space is limited.

Dorrance has been tap dancing since the age of 4 and performing on stage since she was 8. In 2011, Dorrance founded Dorrance Dance/New York so that audiences could view tap dance in a new and dynamically compelling way. She is one of the most sought after tap dancers of her generation and has brought a new vision of tap to audiences across the world.

The audience can meet Dorrance at a reception following her 2:25 pm performance in the Everett Mansion Theatre. The Tap Master class will begin at 4 pm on the Everett Theatre stage.

Dorrance teaches, choreographs, and performs throughout the United States and abroad. She has been a faculty member at Broadway Dance Center, and taught at Steps on Broadway, Pendance Center, Duke University, New York University, East Carolina University, The Ohio State University, Barnard College, and Eton College.
