READSBORO- The 2013 Readsboro Arts Festival will be held Saturday, September 21, from 10 am to 4 pm at Readsboro Central School, 301 Phelps Lane. Admission is free.

The festival features the creative work of artists and craftspeople from the southern Vermont area and includes performances by local musicians and free art-making activities for all ages.

Artists and craftspeople will be exhibiting a wide variety of fine art and craft including painting, prints, pressed flower art, photography, blown glass, jewelry, baskets, wood, fiber arts, and pottery.

Enjoy live music throughout the day with performances by Blueberry Buckle, Atom Planet, Flootissimo, The Dusty Pilgrims, and the Jeanine Marie Quartet.

There’s plenty of family fun for children and adults of all ages at the festival. Try hula hooping with “Hoopiverse,” have your face painted, make some “Music with Mandy,” create a sculpture out of recycled materials at the art tent, and be amazed by magician Ben Pratt.

Lunch will be provided by Always Emma’s with desserts, snacks, and beverages available at the festival cafe.

Admission is free. For information call (802) 423-7706 or email
