WHITINGHAM- Riders in the second annual Hungry Lion Bike Tour will have the opportunity to enjoy the amazing fall foliage while they hit the country roads in the Deerfield Valley on Saturday, September 28.

Sponsored by the Whitingham-Halifax Lions Club, the first Hungry Lion was held in the fall of 2012 and raised more than $5,000 to help fight hunger in the local community.

This year’s expanded ride will include a 32-, 55-, or 80-mile route and is expected to result in an even greater contribution to this worthy cause.

Designed to challenge both new and experienced riders as they explore the beautiful surroundings, the Hungry Lion Bike tour is sure to deliver.

Special thanks to the Richards Group, the sponsor of the midtour rest stop.

Food scarcity continues to be a threat to the local community. Participants and businesses alike can help the Lions Club make a difference by becoming a sponsor, donating a prize or sponsoring a rider.
