WINDHAM COUNTY- This weekend’s performances of Bach’s Mass in B minor in Bellows Falls and Brattleboro will treat concertgoers to a rich blend of fresh and seasoned vocal talent. The mezzo-soprano and bass soloists are promising younger artists who have only recently attracted critical attention. The soprano and tenor soloists have already been delighting audiences for a decade or so. These four soloists will perform nine of the Mass’s 27 movements: six exquisite solo arias and three artfully woven duets.

The soloists will join the Blanche Moyse Chorale and Strathmere Festival Orchestra for Bach’s Mass in B minor on Friday, April 26, at 7:30 pm, at Bellows Falls Opera House in Bellows Falls; and Saturday, April 27, at 7:30 pm at First Baptist Church in Brattleboro. Tickets purchased in advance are $20 for general seating or $40 for preferred seating, and may be obtained from the Brattleboro Music Center at (802) 257-4523, online at brattleborotix.com/boxoffice or bmcvt.org, or from any Chorale member.

Tickets for the Bellows Falls concert are also for sale at Village Square Booksellers. Tickets purchased at the door are $22 or $45 for preferred seating. All student tickets are $12. Both venues are handicapped accessible and special seating is available.
