To the Editor,

A lot of work needs to be done to create a healthier, more economically viable region and the only way we can accomplish this is for all of us that live here (fulltime or parttime) to work together. I am prepared to lead the forward movement of this town, with your input, and work hard to ensure we are prepared for the future and achieve our visions.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who voted for me for reelection to the selectboard of Wilmington last Tuesday at Town Meeting. I truly appreciate the support I received and the belief in me and my abilities.

I will always work with the board to make the best decisions possible for all who live and work in our wonderful town but, to do that, I need your continued feedback. I want all of you to know – whether you voted for me or not – that I will always be willing to stop, listen, and talk with anyone, at any time, about what’s on your mind.

I encourage you to seek me out and to please think of me as a friend who is always willing to listen and to help.

Thanks once again for allowing me to serve Wilmington as your selectboard member.

Jim Burke
