To the Editor,

It’s nice to see such interest in this year’s selectboard race in Wilmington. As a former resident and elected official, and current business owner on Main Street I have had many opportunities to interact with our elected officials.

Jim Burke stands out as a person who places the town and its residents above all else. He is in constant communication with the town officials, employees, and residents. He continues this passion in his care of the Wilmington cemeteries as sexton, a position I held for 20-plus years. He has the same caring and professional attitude needed to serve those in need.

Jim has the ability to be assertive when necessary, will consider all viewpoints and always follows up when concerns are presented to him. He has the experience, passion, and ability to remain an effective member of the Wilmington Selectboard.

Please remember when placing your vote, there have been many changes in our town these past few years, Wilmington has the opportunity to flourish under good leadership and Jim Burke is part of that good leadership.
