BRATTLEBORO- The Brattleboro Concert Choir, under the direction of Susan Dedell, presents Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna,” and Bob Chilcott’s “Requiem” on Saturday, January 12, at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, January 13, at 3 pm, at the First Baptist Church.

“Lux Aeterna” continues to inspire performers and audiences since its premiere in 1997. The choir introduced the music of Chilcott to Brattleboro audiences in January 2012 to capacity crowds who accorded the piece overwhelming acclaim. Chilcott’s “Requiem,” which was premiered by the Oxford Bach Choir in 2010, has likewise galvanized the choral world, the Oxford Times declaring it “gorgeous and uplifting.”

To purchase tickets ($15 general and $10 students) call the Brattleboro Music Center at (802) 257-4523 or visit bmcvt.org.
