SPRINGFIELD, MA - Zoar Outdoor, along with 22 other recipients, was recognized as a Massachusetts Premier Tourism Attraction at the annual Governor’s Conference at the Big E. The conference celebrated its 25th year at the Big E and was coordinated by the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism. Each year the conference honors businesses and individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the Massachusetts tourism industry.

“Massachusetts’ tourism industry has recognized incredible growth in 2012. Visitation, visitor spending, tax revenue, and tourism related jobs have increased over 2011,” said Betsy Wall, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism. “We’ll leverage this growth and expand programming both domestically and in key international origin and emerging markets.”

Zoar Outdoor has been offering family-friendly outdoor adventures along the Deerfield River since 1989. Family owned and run, the company offers a wide variety of human-powered adventures for all ages from April through October.
