BRATTLEBORO- A new round of ukulele classes, taught by Lisa McCormick, begins in mid-April. Beginner and advanced beginner classes available. Daytime, evening, and online-only classes are offered.

The ukulele scene has exploded in the area in recent months, with over 200 new players taking McCormick’s classes and learning to play. Ukulele flash mobs, pub sings, and free public play-alongs have folded right in to the strong supportive arts scene.

A world-renowned music instructor, McCormick specializes in teaching adult beginners through intermediate level students, with a signature instructional approach which nurtures fast and easy success when learning to play an instrument.

Classes begin the week of April 16 and run for six weeks. Class takes place at the New England Youth Theater, 100 Flat Street. Wheelchair accessible, off-street parking, family discounts, and some scholarship assistance available. Ukuleles also available. Visit www.bit.ly/UkeClass for more information.
