To the Editor,

The family of Skip and Rosemary Tefft would like to thank everyone for their love and support during our time of loss. First, to the Whitingham Fire Department. They showed up on the scene under three minutes after the tone. They battled, a barn fully engulfed, and two, almost three houses, beginning to catch fire! To all the mutual aid fire departments, DVR, and to many concerned friends and neighbors.

We are eternally grateful to God for giving us a dog that woke us up on time, that no human lives were lost, and for offers of hay, grain, horse supplies. A special thanks to John Betit for the loan of a trail to give the horse temporary shelter, and to Wayne Corse for his action to bring the structure under the control during the fire, and a quick clean up afterward.

We are truly blessed to live in this community. Please listen to your dog!
