“Mary Poppins” teaches life lessons: how to turn our hearts to kindness and to love. She teaches people how to spin a gloomy day of chores to a game of cheer; learn to look past appearances and to give away what we have to those in need. In this day and age, these lessons are so very essential, which makes this musical quite timeless. Among the show’s many cherished tunes are: “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “ Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” “ Jolly Holiday,” “A Spoonful of Sugar,” and “Feed the Birds.”
“Mary Poppins” runs Thursday, November 9, at 7 pm; Friday, November 10, at 7:30 pm; Saturday, November 11, at 3 and 7:30 pm; and Sunday, November 12, at 3 pm, in Leland & Gray’s Dutton Gymnasium. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students and 62 and over. All refreshments and delicacies are by donation.
