To the Editor,

This is an open letter to Vermont Gov. Phil Scott.

Sir, as a Republican, do you now support the Constitution of the United States and will you fight to uphold it? I ask this as the sitting US President, Donald J. Trump, has declared war on our Constitutionally-protected Free Speech and the checks and balances of our governmental system. He has, within the last week, invited a dictator from the Phillipines who has threatened, openly, journalists with assassination and said our government has too many obstacles to function properly.

Meaning the plural party system. He also said Andrew Jackson thought the Civil War was a disaster. (Jackson died 16 years before the Civil War) Gov. Scott, will you repudiate this or will you stand with someone who is trying to subvert the American way of life? It’s a simple question, will you answer it?
