Since 1986, the Everett Company has been devising multidisciplinary dance-theater works that tour nationally. Everett productions are developed through a research-driven multi-year process that examines questions of urgent interest to the ensemble and to society.
Everett’s newest work, “Freedom Project” is a multimedia physical theater piece that interweaves gripping personal stories, evocative imagery, and athletic choreography in an examination of mass incarceration in America.
“Freedom Project” will be presented on Friday, September 15, and Saturday, September 16, at 7 pm, at the New England Youth Theater, 100 Flat Street. It will be followed by a post-performance conversation with the artists and local social justice workers. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. All student tickets $10. Tickets are available at www.vermontperformancelab.org/events.
