To the Editor:

The Halifax PTG is proud to announce the success of our October 6 Electronic Collection Event. A total of 12,917 pounds of electronics was collected from Halifax, Wilmington, and surrounding towns. Combine with a previous event in June we have now reclaimed 21,877 pounds of electronics. All the electronics collected can now be decommissioned and recycled in a responsible manner, under the supervision of the state of Vermont. This is a big success for our towns, our children, and the environment. It really boasts of the consciousness of the entire valley. Thank you to all who participated.

I would like to extend special thanks to the Halifax School Board and principal Stephanie Aldrich, who have been exceptionally supportive of this fundraiser and of the Halifax PTG. Special thanks also to Holly and Tom Fox, Lisa and Andy Noyes, Dianne and Dan Longe, and Lane Plumbing and Heating. With out your dedication and commitment, this wouldn’t have been possible.

Taralee Lane, PTG President
