On behalf of the Deerfield Valley Rescue squad, and each diner who enjoyed the delicious “Polish-Irish Dinner Buffet,” I want to say thank you.
Having worked in kitchens and dining rooms myself, I realize and appreciate the many hours of preparation, teamwork and effort needed for a buffet as successful as the one you provided to our community.
For over 43 years, my husband Merrill (Huck) has responded to emergency calls for local ambulance help. Both our sons joined Deerfield Valley Rescue squad as teenagers and responded to many accidents, illnesses, and then transporting patients to needed advanced care in Bennington, Brattleboro, Albany, Dartmouth and beyond.
Over the years, we as a local family have witnessed the transformation of the dream of trained and responsive squad into reality. I share my heartfelt gratitude from the angel of being a founding member’s spouse, and am aware of the wide range of care delivered locally. Deerfield Valley Rescue does make our area a safer place to enjoy and live in year-round. Many, many thanks for your vision shared, the time and effort each of you added to produce the delicious buffet on March 17.
