Clark wins Open, sets top mark

VAIL,CO- Kelly Clark, of West Dover, VT, became the most decorated competitor in both men’s and women’s snowboarding by nabbing her 61st gold medal at the oldest and most honored snowboard event, the Burton US Open. This was her sixth US Open halfpipe win, which makes her the winningest Open competitor in history and the boarder with the most overall contest wins - male or female - ever. With this first-place finish, Clark also secured the 2013 TTR World Snowboard Tour Championship Title. This is the highest award that is given to an athlete each year. She has held this title for the past three years. Clark leaves for France this week to attend the European X-Games.
