To the Editor,

This year’s Blueberry Block Party was a great success. Wilmington Works would like to extend thanks to all the vendors (and the band!) who braved the sketchy weather at set-up time, it was worth toughing it out for a really beautiful night.

Many thanks to John Greene for bringing the flatbed truck down. Janet Boyd and Sharon Cunningham managed the mayhem that is the Pie Eating Contest with their usual aplomb. Cadillac Envy gets thanks for the great music. You guys rocked it!

Many thanks to the volunteers who helped set up and break down the event, the Wilmington Police Department, Pettee Memorial Library for organizing childrens’ events on the lawn, and the town of Wilmington Event Fund for helping make this event possible.

We look forward to seeing everyone again on South Main Street next summer.
