This concert will celebrate the release of Lepkoff’s second solo CD, “I’ll Call it Ecstasy,” which joins his 2010 release, “View of the Past.” Songs from each of the CDs will be reframed for group performance.
Serenata Bossa Nova comprises Lepkoff on vocals and guitar, Alison Hale on flute, Gary Henry on drums, and Daniel Kasnitz on upright bass. The group focuses on traditional bossa nova songs, as well as original songs by Lepkoff. Lepkoff’s compositional style draws from bossa nova, and is also influenced by progressive folk, classical, and popular music.
“I’m so pleased to have this CD release party and present my original songs with this wonderful group of musicians.” said Lepkoff. “Mahalo is a charming space, the perfect setting for this event.”
