Duppy Conquerors- A Tribute To Bob Marley
WILMINGTON- The Historic Memorial Hall and the Friends are excited to announce the 2017 live music season opening night with a truly special performance from the Duppy Conquerors- A Tribute To Bob Marley and the Rebelle Heirloom Trio on Saturday, May 6, from 8 to 11 pm, at the Historic Memorial Hall.

The Bob Marley tribute band, the Duppy Conquerors, consists of some of Boston’s best reggae musicians. The Duppy Conquerors were recently nominated for a Boston Music Award. The Duppy Conquerors collectively have performed or shared the stage with: The Wailers, Ziggy Marley, The Skatalites, Jackie Mitto, U-Roy, Black Uhuru, Mikey Dread, Sugar Minott, Sly & Robbie, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Yellowman, Eek-A-Mouse, Steel Pulse, Toots & The Maytals, Roland Alphonso, Leroy Horsemouth Wallace, Lloyd Knibb, Laurel Aitken, Lord Tanamo, Gil Scott Heron, Olatunji, Richie Havens, and more.

The Rebelle Heirloom Trio will open the show at 8 pm. This acoustic trio features Senegalese reggae icon Manu Afrika, spiritualist Kalpana Devi, and local favorite Daniel Rosnow, of Heirloom Seeds.

There will be craft beers on tap and plenty of good times to be had. Come and get your groove on and check out the new automated lighting system at the hall. Doors open for seating at 7:30 pm.
