WILMINGTON- The Twin Valley fifth- and sixth-grade soccer team finished undefeated season on Sunday, on November 3, by winning a second tournament.

The team played in the Connecticut River Valley Soccer League Tournament, which included teams from Twin Valley, Brattleboro, Mount Hermon, Greenfield, Shelburne Falls, Monadnock, West County Wildcats, and Heath.

The Twin Valley team tournament record was 4-0, outscoring their opponents 18-1. Game one vs. Mount Hermon was a well-contested match which was tied 1-1 at the half, Twin Valley pulled away in the second half, winning 4-1.

In the second match against last year’s champs, a well-played defensive game by Twin Valley culminated with a win against the the defending champs 3-0.

Game three was against the West County Wildcats, Twin Valley came out strong, winning the match 5-0, putting Twin Valley into the championship game against the Brattleboro team. The championship game with Brattleboro was dominated by Twin Valley from the start. They won the match 6-0. Twin Valley got stronger as the day went on. These players have worked hard at practice, and played equally tenaciously in matches all year long. The Twin Valley team finished with a 22-0 record this season.
