Raffle prices benefiting Race for a Cure

MANCHESTER- Becky Burke and Carol Munson, co-chairs of the Sponsorship Committee for the 25th anniversary Komen Vermont Race for the Cure, are excited to announce the raffle prizes to be drawn at the race’s awards ceremony, after 10 am, at Riley Rink at 410 Hunter Park Road, on race day, Saturday, July 22.

The first prize is a 14K gold with opal and diamond slide pendant with sterling silver 18” rope chain, courtesy of race sponsor McWayne Jewelers.

The second prize is a “Basin Harbor” painting, courtesy of race sponsor Tilting at Windmills.

The third prize is an imperial beauty bone inlay tray, courtesy of race sponsor Mela Artisans.

Tickets are one for $5 and five for $20. They are currently on sale, and will continue to be sold through race day morning July 22, at Riley Rink. Tickets will ask for a name, phone number, and email. Winners need not be present to win.

Rafffle tickets may be purchased at McWayne Jewelers, Stella’s Salon, and Bourn’s Tire and Auto. Payment with cash, or checks payable to Komen New England, will be accepted.

Tickets are also available for purchase in person at the Komen New England office, 1009 Depot Street. Raffle tickets will not be sold through the mail or online.

Proceeds will benefit the 2017 Komen Vermont Race for the Cure, and therefore local service organizations funded through the Komen New England grants program, and fund vital national breast cancer research.

While winners need not be present to win, name and contact phone number must be on winning ticket for notification. Prizes may be picked up at the race on Saturday, July 22, or at Komen New England Vermont Office. Items will not be shipped.
